So, I just finished taking the Jeopardy online test to try to get on the show. I now know that I know nothing about current events, or poetry. Kind of upset that I didn't answer all of the questions. Lindsay Lohan was one of the answers... and I couldn't remember her name for the life of me when the question came up. NM governor Bill Richardson was one of the answers too, that I just now googled the answer too. I also just found out that Alabama's state nickname is "The Yellowhammer State." I have a pretty wide knowledge of useless information, but I'm nowhere near ready for the national circuit, I guess.

Some guy wrote down these lyrics. Some guys decided that they wanted to put music around these lyrics. Some producer decided to give this song a shot and record it. Somebody heard this song in the record industry and said "I want this on the radio." Program directors at major radio stations decided to put this into rotation. DJ's agreed to play it multiple times. I'm just going to end this post with the lyrics from that song. This is "Chemicals" by Scars On Broadway.
P.S. This guy is a Millionaire for writing stuff like this.

I smacked your face,
You fell in love
When I said "FUCK YOUR MOM!"
I looked at you, said "It's all over!"

I turned around and walked away
And you just grabbed my arm
I looked at you, said "I can't stay sober"

*Prechorus/Refrain*
Come eat some chemicals with me,
Come eat some chemicals
Come eat some chemicals with me,
Come eat some chemicals.

*Chorus*
MADNESS!
My Top Ten Albums of 2007

I'm pretty sure that I have heard all of the new music that I'm going to hear this year, and I've read a lot of top ten lists already. So, here is my version of the Top Ten of 2007...

01- The Hives - The Black And White Album
02- Against Me! - New Wave
03- Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass
04- Blonde Redhead - 23
05- Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero
06- Radiohead - In Rainbows
07- Witch's Hat - Remastery of the Steel
08- Dear And The Headlights - Small Steps, Heavy Hooves
09- The White Stripes - Icky Thump
10- Silverchair - Young Modern

I know that I was talking shit about Silverchair before I went to see them at Lollapalooza, but they kind of bought me back with their performance there. I hate to say that they are a guilty pleasure now. And, Yes. The Hives are number one on my list. The only reason you are disagreeing with it is because you haven't listened to it yet. It is easily their best work. They keep getting better. Also, while I was making this list, I realized that I don't have any other of my top tens on here. So, I'm going to put up the top ten albums of 2006 and 2005 too. This way, I won't lose them.

2006:
01- RX Bandits - ...And The Battle Begun
02- So Many Dynamos - Flashlights
03- In Reverent Fear - Stomacher
04- The Cardinal Sin - Hurry Up and Wait
05- The Streets - The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living
06- Eagles Of Death Metal - Death By Sexy
07- TV On The Radio - Return To Cookie Mountain
08- MuteMath - MuteMath
09- Be Your Own Pet - Be Your Own Pet
10- Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped

2005:
01- Harvey Danger - Little By Little...
02- The Architects - Revenge
03- Bear Vs. Shark - Terrorhawk
04- Thrice - Vhiessu
05- Minus The Bear - Menos El Oso
06- Kanye West - Late Registration
07- Beck - Guero
08- Gorillaz - Demon Days
09- 30 Seconds To Mars - A Beautiful Lie (I know... I know)
10- Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth

Okay, there is my list. Now I don't need to use livejournal for another five months.

<lj:music>Shit on my iPod that I won't ever listen to again</lj:music>

I've been adding music to my iPod that I will probably never listen to. I seriously don't know why I am putting so much crap on here. It's just going to sit there eating up my gigs. But, who knows? I may have the urge to listen to that Ben Folds Five song off of the 'Godzilla' soundtrack someday. Or even the new Silverchair CD that I downloaded a few weeks ago. Wait, no I won't. In any case, this is how I have been wasting time while waiting for Shannon to get out of work.

Speaking of Silverchair, they are playing Lollapalooza? They can still tour? They get to play Lollapalooza what, eight years after their last recognizable song (Anthem For the Year 2000) was on the radio? They are not a cult-status band. They are just old.

Hopefully I will have money saved up for Lollapalooza this year. The lineup looks pretty good. I mean, SILVERCHAIR is playing. But so are a handful of other bands.

Way too far behind in my work. I have too much band shit going on right now in order to get any sort of good grade in all of my classes. We are going up to Wisconsin for a mini-tour in about a month. Two months from now we are going OVERSEAS to Lithuania to play some shows for ten days. That's going to be pretty fucking awesome. Also, not working at Macaroni Grill anymore. I'm at Jimmy's Grill in downtown Naperville now. So much money. So easy to make it. My credit card is maxed out, so I have to get a new one. After that, I'll be out of the hole as far as the recording goes. But then I get to deal with Credit Cards. So, I'm stressing right now.
So, we tried to go ghost hunting tonite. When we were right by the entrance to the cemetary, cops were sitting there just camping. So, we ended up driving out there for nothing. I hate it when that happens.

This one might be longer then others, because I need to explain myself. But, in the end, it will be worth it.

-Fugitive is a game that I have been hearing about more and more lately from my friends in Downers Grove. Myself, Schultz, and Eric finally played our first game tonite. In it's most simple explanation, Fugitive is a game of getting to point A to point B. It starts out at point A (some elementary school parking lot in D.G.) where teams are decided. The teams are "Runners/Fugitives" and "Drivers/Chasers". There has to be more chasers and drivers than runners. One person driving the car, and one in shotgun to get out to chase the runners. For this game there were 12 chasers, so 6 cars, and 6 runners. Schultz and I were runners. Eric was a Chaser. The runners get a five minute head start out of point A. After five minutes, the drivers and chasers have to go out and catch the runners before they get to point B (The Belmont train station in D.G.). This course is about 1.5 or 2 miles, through mostly back yards. There are some mini marts and a small industrial park along the way as well, but mostly just residential. If I were to go through all the details of the run, you would be sitting here for a long time. I got caught crossing a bridge about 400 feet from the goal, after out-running the same guy twice. I didn't realize I was that close, or I would have continued to sprint to the finish. Schultz got to the goal first. It ended up that three of the runners got caught, and three made it. Honestly, it was one of the most fun times that I have had so far this year.

Anyways, I want to get a game of this going in Naperville very soon. I am thinking from North Central's stadium to Naperville North's stadium. This seems like a game where the more people involved, the better. So, we should get one going here within the week.

Now I am really tired though, since that was the first physical activity I have done in quite awhile. So, I am going to go to bed.

Well, I am certifiably sick now. I finally went to the doctor today, since my sinuses have done nothing but get worse the last few days. Basically, I'm just on some sinus meds (that are incredibly expensive when you buy them yourself) and I got out of work today. I've slept most of the day so far, and I'm probably going back to sleep shortly. Ugh, I have been sick for too long right now. It's too nice outside to be sick for this long.
